Buildings are constructible objects built by players that provide population, points, income (stars), or a movement bonus. Buildings include resource buildings, monuments, temples, and roads. Each building can only be built on specific terrain types.
Structures are generated objects that units interact with randomly dispersed across the map at the beginning of the game. Structures include cities, villages and ruins. Resources and terrain are not considered structures.
