The Guard Tower was a unit unlocked with the Engineering technology. The Guard Tower could only be built on empty field tiles.
The Guard Tower was scrapped in the "Power" update due to logistics issues and because it slowed games down undesirably.
The Guard Tower uses the same visual design varying by tribe as the Battleship.
